BB FundraisingThursday 26-02-2009
Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February were two busy days for the Boys Brigade. On Friday evening 17 tables of teams took part in the family quiz. It was a fun night with some interesting questions - especially the film/tv round which the boys had interpreted themselves on video. Local businesses were generous with prizes and the winning team had vouchers from McMullin Kilt shop with the runners up getting vouchers from Purdie Chemists. There was also a half time question which had a prize donated from Food for Thought. In total £203 was raised.
Then on Saturday morning a Soup and ... (Show full article)

Alistair and NickyTuesday 17-02-2009
A large number of friends and members from both congregations braved the stormy weather to attend the leaving presentation for Alistair and Nicky.
They received a specially commissioned painting of the manse and St Kane's Church, a cheque, and a digital photo frame containing photos from various events at both churches. Nicky also received a flower arrangement.
Although we are going to miss the whole family very much, we all believe that it was Gods calling that has led them down to Edinburgh, where Alistair is to be chaplain at Heriot Watt University.

Fellowship WeekendMonday 13-10-2008
27 Adults and children returned to The Cairngorm Christian Centre, Kincraig, this weekend for St Kane's and Maud & Savochs 2nd Fellowship Weekend. We arrived on Friday evening and enjoyed a welcome bowl of soup, before getting down to our first worship session. The Bible Teaching was led by Rev Norman Smith, formerly minister at Longside Church, so well known to some of us. He was teaching us about Faith in Action. Alistair, Ian and Ben led our Praise time and everyone was in fine voice.
We enjoyed walks along Loch Insch and our Prayer Walk which Alistair led around Loch ... (Show full article)

Rock Solid ResidentialSaturday 16-08-2008
19 Young people and 9 leaders spent a really good week at The Cairngorm Christian Centre, Kincraig from 3rd - 8th August. Our theme for the week was 'Walk the Walk' with Romans 12:2 being our bible teaching verse. We had great times of worship and praise together, we did a prayer walk, and had lots of fun with the crafts, making sock puppets for our video sketches, and also designing and painting cereal bowls. Some of us painted T shirts too, so along with the jigsaw, and games (indoor and out) and a fantastic morning at the Raft building we ... (Show full article)

Holiday Club/ Youth ClubSaturday 16-08-2008
Almost 40 children enrolled for our Olympic Themed holiday Club. Led by Andy Burns, we had a very successful week singing the holiday club theme song accompanied by Ian, making crafts, playing team games and hearing about people in the bible including Rahab, Job and Gideon. The youngsters enjoyed scoring 1,000's of points and especially enjoyed making a big banana split and then watching the leaders getting wet in the tank of water on Friday! Photos will follow soon
The Youth club in the evenings attracted around 20 youngsters who listened to our band playing, and then trying out instruments themselves. There ... (Show full article)
