Thanks for stopping by and for the suggestion - there is a link to a map of our location on the front page in the paragraph starting "St. Kane's is a Church of Scotland..." but we'll try to make it more obvious. The church is on Church Crescent - once you get to New Deer you can't miss it as it has a big clock tower.

St Kane's is very lucky to have Paul Read as their minister. Although I live across the Atlantic,in the United States, I have had the great pleasure of meeting Paul and attending his services. He blessed my daughter's marriage in 2007 and on March 3rd 2010 performed a beautiful service at my Mother's funeral. Both of these services were conducted at Strathy Church of Scotland.
Paul,I will miss seeing you when I visit Scotland but will stay in touch via e-mail. Love to both you and Joy.

Further to 13th August - One thousand years ago, this part of Buchan was largely pagan with maybe a vague belief in God. Then a man called Kane brought the Good News of Jesus to the area in the late 900s AD. He belonged to the old Celtic church, founded four centuries earlier by Columba and with a local base at the monastry of Deer (now Old Deer).
